About the Author
Christianity Explained was originally created by Reverend Michael Bennet, who has dedicated many years to the development and distribution of the course.
Michael is an Architect, who became a follower of Jesus at the age of 24 primarily through reading the Scriptures. After graduation Michael trained at Moore Theological College, a highly respected evangelical training institute in Sydney, Australia. During 20 years of pastoral work in Australian churches, as well as 11 years working with the Scripture Union organisation, he developed the Christianity Explained course, which has gained wide acceptance and effective use both within Australia and overseas.
Since 2023
After Michael retired in 2023 he handed the course over to Bob & Denise Hogarth, a husband and wife team who had already been faithfully delivering the course for 35 years. Bob & Denise have run Christianity Explained over 150 times, both in Australia and overseas in the Solomon Islands. It is their dream to translate Christianity Explained into many more languages and see people all over the world come to Christ through the course. They have also been working with a team to create an adapted version of the course for children and youth.
